Fire Suppression Sales Representative (Special Hazards & Commercial Systems)

Responsibilities:
The Fire Suppression Sales Representative is responsible for driving sales growth in specialized fire protection systems, including kitchen hood suppression, industrial dry chemical, clean agent, fuel island, and foam-based systems. This role focuses on identifying new opportunities, building client relationships, and supporting customers through the full sales cycle — from consultative selling to project handoff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and grow new business in targeted markets such as restaurants, data centers, fuel facilities, industrial plants, and commercial kitchens.
- Sell engineered and pre-engineered systems including:
- Kitchen hood suppression (Ansul, Pyro-Chem, etc.)
- Clean agent systems (FM-200, Novec 1230, Inergen, etc.)
- Dry chemical and foam systems (fuel islands, industrial hazards)
- Perform site surveys and consult with clients to design customized suppression solutions.
- Prepare and present professional proposals and bids based on NFPA standards and AHJ requirements.
- Work with designers, estimators, project managers, and service technicians to ensure seamless project delivery.
- Build and maintain relationships with contractors, facility managers, and end users.
- Maintain current knowledge of applicable NFPA codes (e.g., 17, 17A, 2001, 12, 96), local regulations, and system technologies.
- Use CRM tools to manage pipeline, leads, proposals, and follow-ups.
- Consistently meet or exceed monthly and annual sales targets.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of sales experience in fire suppression or related life safety systems.
- Strong understanding of kitchen suppression systems, clean agents, and foam/dry chemical applications.
- Familiarity with NFPA codes related to fire suppression systems.
- Strong technical acumen with ability to read blueprints and specifications.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Self-starter with strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
Preferred:
- NICET Level I or II in Special Hazards or Fire Suppression Systems.
- Experience with Ansul, Amerex, Kidde, or similar suppression product lines.
- Estimating experience in commercial fire protection projects.
