Position Summary:
The Accounting Specialist effectively supports the Assistant Controller, General Manager by performing multiple duties related to the accounting functions of the organization within established deadlines. This position is responsible for the proper and timely recording of financial transactions in the general ledger in accordance with GAAP

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Prepare, record, and process accounts payable and cash disbursements

· Perform bank reconciliations

· Prepare, record, and reconcile product inventory usage

· Perform and record monthly credit card reconciliations

· Prepare and record month end journal entries including depreciation, prepaid expenses,
and Adjusting entries as necessary

· Month end close including account reconciliations

· Assist in the preparations of annual audit, budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections.

· Perform additional duties as directed by Assitant Controller, General Manager

· Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

· High School Diploma or equivalent, bachelor’s degree in finance is preferred

· Minimum of five years finance experience required

· Self-starter and reliable team player in a small team environment

· Organized and detail oriented

· Customer service focused

· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
